Hi guys,

I have a Maya shop on my wordpress site http://www.conquestcarbon.co.uk and yesterday when anyone clicked on SHOP it would redirect you to "Index of /shop" page and another site selling christian_louboutins shoes. I contacted my host "vidahost" to find out what the problem might have been but they couldn't see anything, eventually I asked them to backdate my site to the last backup which seemed to have done the trick as the shop link was working as normal. However about 30 min ago the same thing has happened and I'm worried this might become a daily event. This shop is my business and I need it to work perfectly otherwise I will lose sales and income. Please can someone help me? Ive googled it and some have said it could be a Pharma attack??

I am not the most computer literate of people.

As from wordpress documents we can add additional things in style.css of child theme rather than adding it in parent themes style.css.

Just one thing i want to confirm:

Overriding the features of which style of parent theme's is it style.css or ie.css or rtl.css as we know there are many css's in the parent themes directory?

if it is overriding the feature of style.css of parent theme then what will be with others(i.e. ie.css,rtl.css)? are they working?

As i have added only one css file in child theme for my theme (Twentythirteen-child/style.css)

can somebudy tell me properly

I have taken off the register widget to my site due to the amount of unwanted registering...once it is off I still get hacker registering how do I stop this

I'm ripping my hair out here. The code below works when I am querying two taxonomies but breaks when I add a third. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

We use a theme that have a lot of functions build in to the page section thats not avalible when you write posts.

I need some way to automatic show the latest page as the websites frontpage/homepage.

So that if I have the page "Monday" as front page and then publish a new page called Tuesday it will automaticly be used as the theme front page.

How can I do this?

I have tried getting a hold of woocommerce directly on their forum for about a month now, and no luck. So I am coming to the Hackers to see if anyone else might be able to help me.

I have the woocommerce plugin and the woocommerce swatches and photos extension that shows swatches instead of variations as a drop down.

When hovering over the swatches and when a swatch is selected, I would like to be able to see the name of the color above the color table.

I have found this code:
<input id="attribute_pa_colors" type="hidden" value="sky" name="attribute_pa_colors"></input> in my element inspection and when I change hidden to visible I get close to what I am looking for. But exactly.

Can anyone please help me figure out how to make the names of the colors display above the color swatch table when hovered or selected.

I would like to have a different color for just a particular menu. Example for my website, http://www.akusihat.com, I just want the "Health Stories" to be different color and the rest of the menu remain gray color. Is this possible?

Greetings,

i would like to use the internal comment system of wordpress within custom non wp pages.

The status is this.
I created a main site like myname.com. I integratet the loop into it.
The WordPress CMS lay in myname.com/en/.

I googled a bit about using the comment system but didn't find a solution. If i include the comments template nothing is happend and that could be because the sites which i try to include it on are not registered within the wordpress Database.

So my question is. How would it be possible to use the comment system in non wordpress registered pages (or register a site to the comment system).

Hi, I'm very new to wordpress - sorry if I'm doubling up on an old post but I can't quite seem to find the answers I'm looking for.

I'm working with Cherry theme and a child theme that I bought. I realise that seems silly with so many great free themes out there but I liked a few things in it and was interested to see how they worked.... but now it's left me with some new questions!

The child theme has two css files - main-style.css and style.css.

I've edited the main-style.css file to adjust the general styling of the site and have also added one or two new things in the style.css where there was a note to add any new things.

Now I've noticed that the site (set up locally for now), rolls back to the original child theme template's css every now and again. From what I've read I think I understand that's why you shouldn't edit a parent theme's css but I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong with the child theme? Should I not be doing this? Or is there something I should take out of the main-style.css file (there is some info in the header I'm wondering about taking out but I'm not game - I've copied it in below if it helps)?

I'm also wondering if I would be better off to take the files out of the child theme I bought and have edited and create my own new child theme with the adapted css file?

Any thoughts or directions to another thread would be greatly appreciated :)

MY CMS is Wordpress, I Used Wordpress for about 4 years without any problem but now i have a Big problem.

Hey,

Does anyone have any code for WordPress to limit the number of pages a website can create?

For example limit it to 8 pages, once the user makes 8 pages when they click Add New, display a message and not let me make anymore pages.

I need to be able to: 1.) assign categories to images and 2.) add classes to all images that correspond to their assigned categories.

I was able to add categories to images with the following:

function ug_add_categories_to_attachments() {
    register_taxonomy_for_object_type( 'category', 'attachment' );
}
add_action( 'init' , 'ug_add_categories_to_attachments' );

And I found a function to add a class to images as so:

	$class .= ' additional-class';

But I'm not advanced enough with php to take it much further. I tried this

I have been rounding around in circles without getting anywhere. The problem is this. Onload I need to capture the url parameter custom_var=something which I can do as shown below

// Find out what the URL parameter is
	var sPageURL = window.location.search.substring(1);
    var sURLVariables = sPageURL.split('&');
	var sParameterName = sURLVariables[0].split('=');

But once I capture this I am unable to send this to my jQuery that I have created. This is how I normally send the info to the jQuery.

<input onclick="myjQuery()" type="radio" name="strColor" value="ALL" checked>Any Color

Works just fine. But I am unable to do the same thing on a onLoad event. I have been researching updating header.php to do this, but to no avail. I try to post the data but nothing happens.

This is what my code that works normally, but not in a onload event.

I'm trying to add buttons to my TinyMCE visual editor. Specifically, I want to add a <code></code> button and a <cite></cite> button.

I've found a tutorial that creates a code button. When clicked, it wraps the selected text in <code></code> tags. This is great, and is partially what I'd like. However, I'd love to bring the behavior of my custom buttons in line with other buttons, like the bold and italic buttons.

Let me explain what I mean. If you have text selected in the editor and you click the "bold" button, it wraps the selected text in <strong></strong> tags. So far, that resembles the button I have. But if you don't have any text selected as you click the "bold" button, instead of inserting an empty <strong></strong> element, it creates an opening <strong> tag, and the button displays as depressed. When you press the button again, it ends the element and the button returns to its default unselected state.

Given that I've added the "code" button via a plugin, as explained in the tutorial I linked, what do I need to do to get the functionality I've explained?
