kakashi20 on "filter by category and tags in the php loop"

Hey there

I am developing a site in which I have to do the following filter of years and writers, such as:

2014 -> Writer 1 Writer 2 ...
2015 -> Writer 1 Writer 2 ...

Every post created that year should be placed and writer belongs.

What is the best way to do this filter to remove the list of post according to the chosen filter option ? Doing the loop in php.

Categories , tags , actual date , custom fields , custom post ?

Any ideas ?
