I'm new to WordPress. My current permalink is set to /%category%/%postname%/ and a "." (dot) in the Category base. My categorys ID are bigger than the subcats IDs.
So the URL looks like this: [site-root]/[category]/[postname]
And when entering a subcat, it looks like this: [site-root]/[category]/[subcategory]/[postname]
The problem is that when I open something like this: http://www.example.com/food/fruits - I don't get the posts that are related to fruits and instad get a "Not Found" page. They show up only when http://www.example.com/fruits.
I read some tutorials and forum posts that are related, but nothing solved my problem.

Please help me to solve this problem I'm stuck with this for too long :( What can be the problem?
- I changed the ID of the main category to a much bigger number than the subcats.
- I wrote what has to be written in Settings=>Permalinks
- I checked that I didn't forget to mark the subcategories under the main category (yeah, sometimes happens when you're stuck on something and it's because something stupid :P).
I even deleted all the subcats from the menu and added them back again so it will maybe "refresh" something.
Am I missing something?
