I just got around to noticing that code I used with the filter "attachment_fields_to_edit" to remove some of the default fields is no longer working.

After an hour of searching, I can across this trac:

Where Nacin says:

"attachment_fields_to_edit no longer contains the standard fields, including image-size, align, image_alt, post_title, post_excerpt, url, menu_order, post_content, and image_url, because these are now rendered using media views. So, these fields are simply not passed to the filter."

However, I have not been able to find any information on "media views" so that I can write new code to filter these fields out.

I believe I found the "view" in media-template.php, but there isn't any indication that those fields are filterable.

Any help on removing description and alt-text from the media editor?

Hi,

Checked my site stats earlier and noted that someone from Fuzhou, China (with this IP address: 27.159.208.172) is trying to access my blog's admin page via this link: http://ideacrib.net/admin/fckeditor/editor/filemanager/connectors/test.html. This isn't the first time that this has happened. Every now and then, I'd note attempts from China to access my admin page via that same link.

I searched Google to learn more about the FCKeditor and learned that it's an open source web text editor. Can anyone please tell me if this is something that I should be concerned about? What can I do to protect my site from hackers?

I noticed a link today in the header of one of my clients websites. I didn't place it there and I know he didn't. It shoes up in firebug but it is nowhere to be found in the header.php, or at least I didn't see it. Another funny this is that, when I log in as admin it is not visible, it shows only when I loo out so I imaging all of the sites visitors can see it. Where did it come from and how do I get rid of it....Appreciate any help.

This is my site, orionmarineconcepts.com
The functions.php controls all the widgets in the web-site. The wp-settings.php can't get the file. If you check the link I'm getting these two warnings on the top of the site.

When I upload an image to be included in my posts I would like to add two extra alignment option to the drop-down list.

Default we have:
- Left
- Right
- Center
- None

But I would like to add the SuperLeft and SuperRight options to this list.

Is something like that possible through WP filters?

Dear Sirs
Error: The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content / uploads / 2014/12.
Have your theme SilverOrchid installed on my Word Press.
Lately the core files have been deleted conveniently causing constantly exceed the limit of my hosting space ...... already cleaned and installed plugins ... "Old Core Files, Disble Updates Manager etc, spoke several times with my space provider that has been clear unwanted core files, but this does not stop happening .... I do not know what to do ... .. because I deleted the issues, and I updated some plugins that I still have ... ..stop comments and users ......
but still temporarily without space ....

Would I can lend a hand?

I wonder, if I change the PHP wordpress coding to increase to ram to like 512MB.

If I click auto update, will it reset?

Or it depends the version update changes?

Not sure what to do here -

I was contacted by a business owner asking me to remove a link that apparently on my site.

When I google searched my site (site:loveandrea.com) there are a bunch of posts that are spam. When i click them they are linked to my site with a 404 error.

How do I remove these spam posts?

Please … it’s been days and can’t figure it out …

WPAlchemy is simply the best … but .. here is the thing:

I got “materials” in category (taxonomies) and “family” (drop down meta field option), example:

Wall
- wood
– glass
Door
- rock
- stainless steel

I am able to group and show all the “materials” posts grouped by category, but cant figure it out to sort them by type.
I am using ’mode’ => WPALCHEMY_MODE_EXTRACT in my functions.php

This is really driving me crazy, please I really need your help, please.

This is my query to list items but cant automatically sort it by 'tipo'

Would anyone have a simple piece of code that calculates and displays a simple mathematical calculation (=-/x) between 2 custom fields?

Yes yes, I know there is plenty of information out there already - but I'm just checking to see if anything has changed.

I did the usual match for both wp-config's:
define('CUSTOM_USER_TABLE', 'wp1_users');
define('CUSTOM_USER_META_TABLE', 'wp1_usermeta');

Just wondering if I have to match the define('AUTH_KEY'), secure key etc. to the original wp-config.php?

When logging in on the slave site I get the "You do not have permission" error.

Any tips or is a Multisite the way to go?

Our website (www.communionpdx.com) gets click jacked to an Air Jordans website when you search us on google.com. It does not happen if our website is manually typed in, but only when you click on the 'google searched' link. Additionally, it seems we have lost access to our FTP credentials and can't update our WordPress to the latest version (which would, hopefully, alleviate the problem). Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am not a developer or master WordPress user. I am the owner of the website/domain and need to restore it so my customers don't get redirected to some silly 'Posh Jordans' site. HELP!

When ever a user signs up using WP Social Login (i only use fb option for now) it automatically puts in an "_" in place of any spaces in their name. How can i prevent that and have their name show up exactly as it is on facebook?

Their "Name" is fine, but their "User Name" shows an "_" in place of a space.

E.g here

A rundown of my issue:
I am working with a file that lives in the root along with wp-config.php and such. I am requiring wp-admin/includes/plugin.php and wp-load.php and my goal is to retrieve plugin data quickly and easily from a site. I have been mostly successful in my attempts, so far but have hit a small bump that I am hoping someone can assist with. My initial function uses the array get_plugins() and I am using data from that but I also need to check which plugins are active/inactive. Looking at the Codex, is_active_plugin($plugin) seems to do exactly what I want - Check if the plugin is active. I don't want to specify a file path, obviously, because I am checking all plugins, so I've been trying to use the data from get_plugins() to pass the file path to is_active_plugin but nothing has been working. If I do a var_dump(get_plugins();), the path I need is the key but if I try to use the key, the first plugin is just repeated every time. I suspect this is due to that fact that the get_plugins() array has another array for each plugin. Every plugin appears as inactive.
